Surface 2: Glazing and Cold Work
Embark on a deeper exploration of glazing in Surface 2. Move beyond the basics as we delve into alternative techniques like cuerda seca, oxide washes, and stroke and coats. Customize your glazes using recipes and stains, while learning the art of underglaze on bisque ware with painterly finesse. Uncover the magic of gold, mother of pearl lustres, and decals after glaze application. Elevate your work through cold work methods, including flocking, gold and silver leaf application, and crafting a soapstone-like finish through skillful (and safe) sanding.
