Sales & Registration Policies

Registration

  • Registration is available online or in person; however, online registration is strongly recommended, as we cannot hold spots without payment.

  • Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure a place in any workshop, class, or event.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change. However, as a small arts organization, last-minute cancellations and rescheduling requests create significant challenges for scheduling, staffing, and financial stability. For this reason, we do not offer refunds, but we do allow limited rescheduling and credits in certain circumstances.

Participant-Initiated Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • More than 14 days before the start date: You may request a one-time transfer to a different session OR a credit for future use at HCS (valid for studio rentals, classes, workshops, materials, or fees). This gives us a chance to fill your spot and maintain the flow of programming. If the class only has the minimum number of participants to run, we may require your spot to fill before we are able to provide a transfer or credit. Should this be the case, we will be in contact immediately and will work together to find an equitable solution.

  • Between 14 days and 72 hours before the start date: You may request a one-time transfer to another session only if we are able to fill your spot. If we cannot fill your spot, your registration is forfeited.

  • Less than 72 hours before the start date: No reschedules or credits will be issued.

A participant may reschedule their class only once. If they are unable to attend the rescheduled session, the registration fee is forfeited.

HCS-Initiated Cancellations & Weather-Related Rescheduling

If HCS cancels a class or workshop for any reason (except inclement weather), a full refund or credit will be issued. We will notify registered participants as soon as possible and provide rescheduling options if available. In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule the class within a reasonable timeframe. If a consensus cannot be reached, the makeup session will be scheduled based on the availability of the majority of participants. Refunds will not be issued due to weather-related rescheduling.

Final Sale Policies

  • All studio materials, merchandise, and tool sales are final.

  • If an item is defective, please contact us within 4 days of purchase to arrange an exchange (if applicable).

No-Show Policy

If a participant does not attend their registered class or workshop without prior notice, their fee is forfeited, and no credit or reschedule will be offered.

Late Arrivals

We understand that getting to class on time isn’t always possible. If you're running late, you're still welcome to join, please enter quietly and wait for the instructor to provide a brief overview when there’s a natural pause. We’ll make sure you feel caught up and ready to participate without disrupting the flow of the class.
