You've got to start somewhere - and if you're interested in making clothes that fit you just right, you're in the right place. You’ll learn the foundations of garment sewing while creating your first piece from start to finish. You’ll be guided through each step of the process, building both technical skills and confidence as you work.
NEW - Extended size class - students will be making the Helen's Closet, Aston Top pattern in the 12-30 size range, fitting bust sizes 40" to 58".
In this course, you will:
- Learn how to use a sewing machine with confidence
- Understand fabric types, grainlines, and cutting techniques
- Read and work from a commercial sewing pattern
- Construct and finish a garment step by step
- Develop foundational skills you can build on independently
You’ll leave with:
- A finished garment you’ve made yourself
- A solid foundation to keep building skills on
- The confidence to continue your sewing journey
