This is the woven we hand people on their first day of garment sewing, and the one we still cut for ourselves. The sandwashing gives it a soft, peached surface that feels broken-in right off the bolt, but it presses sharp and behaves beautifully under the machine — no slipping, no drama. If you want a project that goes right, start here.
Care
Machine wash cold on gentle. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Iron on medium heat. As with all natural fibres, pre-wash before cutting.

Patterns we'd sew with it
- The Wilder Gown — Friday Pattern Company. The crisp drape gives the tiers real swish without wilting.
- The Camber Set — Merchant & Mills. A beginner-friendly top and dress that lets a good plain cotton do the talking.
- The Cuff Dress — The Assembly Line. Clean Scandinavian lines that want exactly this kind of body.
- Darling Ranges — Megan Nielsen. A classic button-front dress or blouse; this cotton keeps the plackets sharp.
