Re-Design/Re-Make Your Favourite Clothes

The Re-Design / Re-Make Course will teach you how to take a beloved garment and map out the pieces in order to duplicate the pattern and recreate it. We'll also explore commercial patterns and learn pattern drafting techniques that allow you to change the shape and style of various parts of the garment. 

Re-Design/Re-Make Courses are 6 sessions long, and comes with access to the studio for the duration of the course. That way you can come in to the studio, on your own time to keep up, get ahead and work on your project at your pace.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Some knowledge of sewing is an asset for this course, but your instructor will be happy to assist.

Your Instructor: 

Our experienced textiles instructors are passionate about sharing their expertise and guiding you through the journey of skill development and creative exploration through textile art, craft and design. With a deep understanding of the medium, they provide personalised instruction and feedback to help you achieve your artistic goals.

This course is taught by: Dayna Gedney

Dayna is a multidisciplinary artist working in ceramics, textiles and wood. Dayna’s work exhibits finesse with materials and diligent refinement. Her work is as much about the process of making as it is about the final product, an ever developing exercise in not limiting material and perpetually expanding her skill set while exploring craft. Dayna is a graduate of the Furniture, Craft and Design program at Sheridan College.

HCS Facilities and Equipment: Hamilton Craft Studios’ textiles facilities are designed to facilitate a diverse range of work. Our spacious studio is equipped with sewing machines, large cutting tables, and other essential tools to support your creative journey.
