The Frame Intensive gives you hands on experience milling material, cutting mitres, and learning how to build a high quality custom frame from solid wood.

In this Course:
  • Bring in your artwork (no larger than 30" x 30")
  • Learn the basics of professional art archiving
  • Make a solid wood frame for your artwork - all wood materials are provided / glass is not provided, how to source glass and mats is covered in the first session.

Four sessions of in studio learning, led by a professional craftsperson, held in the wood studio.

At HCS, we teach the fundamentals of cutting things apart and putting them together by building useful objects.  Students receive clear instruction for the safe operation of woodworking machinery and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with each tool and process as they turn rough lumber into fine, practical items.
